[ Considering Sara has had something of an unlucky time this past week, Hannibal (and possibly Will) have taken it upon themselves to at least try and cheer her up. For Hannibal, this of course means food, which he's been busily cooking for a while. For Will, this means alcohol, which is already set at the table for the two of them. They might have been waiting for a while, but at least Hannibal doesn't exactly frown on their bad habits. Too much. He can hardly judge when he's been in the kitchen for most of the day...

But eventually, he'll come out with plates balanced on his arms, and set an elegant, beautiful, and absolutely delicious smelling plate out for each of them. ]

Veal osso bucco alla Milanese, pate with dates and nutmeg mustard, and a side salad of prosciutto, Camembert and fig.

[ He nods with a warm smile, since he's actually quite glad to have cooked something for an occasion. Hannibal takes a seat, then motions for them to begin. ]

I hope you enjoy it.

[ ...of course, their liquid appetizers may mean they don't quite fully appreciate Hannibal's pretentiousness. He's at least used to it. ]
sating: (that was a rollercoaster of emotions)
[ I'm saying Thursday just to be safe because I don't??? Know??? What's happening to Milla and Xion??? goddamn children

But, regardless. Percy is the resident Good Child in Hannibal's books, and though it's a bit belated, he ends up approaching Percy as he had on Monday. He gives Percy a small nod with a intent expression, and though he doesn't say anything, Percy can probably guess what Hannibal wants to talk about. It's also a good sign, since if Hannibal has something to talk about in the first place, that's good news.

Once Hannibal has led them away to somewhere private, he'll begin simply. ]

We're in luck. Apparently, my surgeries did count as "merit."
sating: (fuck the outer net)
[ During the day on Tuesday, Hannibal will be stopping by the Sheriff's Station, but with very deliberate timing. Though someone may have seen him go inside, he was also careful to try and avoid that so much as is possible. There was certainly no one in immediate view, which he supposes is good enough. He gives the Sheriff a brief nod, though it's with a light smile. ]

Hello, Sheriff. I was hoping to potentially claim that second reward, if you have a few minutes.
sating: (For Fuck's Sake:)
[ At some yet to be determined time because squee is UP TO SOMETHING, Hannibal will be tracking down Percy. As he approaches, it's rather clear that he's been looking for Percy in particular. He gives him a little nod of greeting, but he at least gets to business fairly quickly. ]

Percy— Do you have a few moments? There's something I'd like to discuss with you.

[ Which, depending on where they are when Hannibal finds him, he might add on an "in private" if necessary ]

[ As soon as their trial is dismissed, there's very little hesitation in who Hannibal heads to.

Naturally, he does give Will's hand a squeeze, a quick "I'll see you later," but with all the chaos of the day, there are other people he needs to see and tend to. In fact, so many that he almost wonders about who to go to first, but... His bias wins out. For each of the people he's taken a liking to so far, there was perhaps no one where that was as true as Xion. So, he goes to her. Follows her, if necessary, and when he speaks her name, his voice is full of sympathy and concern. ]

Xion—

[ But it's only her name. She'll let her drive the rest of this. ]
sating: (there is only one way to be Evil Morty)
[ Hannibal has had a busy day, to say the least.

Part of it, he expected, since after what he'd seen last night, he was rather curious to see just how Annabeth had turned out. And of course, the fact that Percy was immediately drawn there was just as much a part of why he'd chosen to investigate that place. It was no surprise that he was there. But seeing the despair turn to rage had been what he was hoping for. With Annabeth and Riku both murdered, Hannibal expected that both Percy and Xion would be extremely interesting to watch tomorrow and from now on.

Of course, what he hadn't predicted was being drawn into another surgery.

He wouldn't refuse, naturally. The irony of the moment pleased him, and he did enjoy surgery a great deal. It was quite the contrast to having such a heavy hand in the murders of two people to then save two. But really, that just quietly improved his mood all the more. By the time he's finished and Sei is let to rest, he's nothing less than starving. He'd had a grand idea of enjoying a particularly decadent brunch. He had given Will his portion for breakfast, and finally, after all of the bustle of the morning, he takes his own serving to cook up. It's simple and quick, since he'd imagined he might need that today. He was more right than he knew. But as he cooks, the smell of seared heart with blueberries, caramelized onions and grated horseradish is nothing less than mouth-watering.

But he'd rather not eat alone or even in public. Even if it looks like no more than steak, he would rather avoid the questions of why he has an appetite at all after such a gruesome day.

So naturally, he finds Will, wherever he may be. ]

Hello, Will.

[ He announces himself gently, and he approaches with a plate, fork, and knife in hand. ]

May I join you while I eat?
sating: (contour away the cringe)
[ This has turned into a more interesting evening than Hannibal expected, but in a way, he's finding he can't complain. As the interesting trio heads to his room, he does give a glance to Xion and Will in turn, seeing how they're finding the situation from their expressions. Regardless, it's not like it would change his own opinion too much. This is actually fairly amusing.

He lets them step inside first, and he dutifuly locks the door after, considering the fact that they're the ones in the possession of the camera. He speaks to Xion first with a light nod. ]

Make yourself as much at home as you can, Xion. You're welcome to the bed for the night.

[ Because that's the polite thing to do, naturally. But then when he speaks to Will, he's slightly less polite because. It's Will. ]

Not that I'm objecting to your company, but was it really necessary for you to join us, Will?

[ As everyone is dispersing for the evening, Hannibal lingers for a moment to survey everyone. With the stress of the day, he imagines that there are quite a few people feeling stressed (to say the very least) by the day's events. Eventually, his attention stops on Sei and Xion, who had both been quite hopeful in their defenses of Tiara. Sei had asked to speak with him on medicine, and he considers going to her, but... That break in Xion's voice is fresher in his mind. It's also more vulnerable.

He follows her to the hall, then reaches out to place a hand on her shoulder once more. This one is lighter than before, but still kind. Even in such a simple gesture, there's worry. ]

Excuse me, Xion—

[ He hopes it isn't too rude to refer to her so casually when they hadn't been properly introduced, but she seemed fairly amenable to being casual in the first place. ]

Forgive me if I'm intruding... But would you like someone to talk to? I can gladly lend an ear. It's something like my duty, considering my line of work. [ He withdraws his hand, but nods to her lightly ] Though only if you would find it helpful. I don't wish to pry or push.
sating: (y'all got anymore of that FPS)
[ While many people are off hunting for the other girl, Hannibal is being slightly more reserved in how he's approaching things. He's being careful, since he's still learning peoples' limits and expectations here. It was hardly strange for him to be unnerved in the face of gore and brutality when occasionally consulting with the FBI. He still has to learn what people expect of him here, though so far, he's expecting a cool demeanor will go unnoticed. He's not the only one to seem quite accustomed to death.

He's heading to towards the graveyard out of curiosity to see what may be there, but as he approaches, he sees Elizabeth leaving. Hannibal pauses and looks between the graveyard and the girl, but it only takes a moment before he decides to follow.

He steps after her quickly to catch up, but when he calls out, his voice is calm, but steady. There's not a tone of leisure in his voice, but it's hardly distressed. ]

Elizabeth— [ He says her name to catch her attention first, but his voice softens once he has it ] Did you find anything?

[ He's business first before getting to more emotional questions, but surely those will come. He only needs a moment to see how she's doing. ]
sating: (tumblr garbage)
[ The last thing Hannibal remembers is falling.

There's a bit more than that, naturally, but that's the overwhelming part of it. There's blood in taste, smell, and sight, and perhaps that should be more prominent, but it's not. Instead, it's the warmth of an embrace in the cold wind coming from the ocean. A moment before they had fallen, he had felt Will's weight shift, and Hannibal certainly could have stopped it. But in truth, he hadn't wanted to.

He'd always been enchanted with how he might meet his end in the way that he was enchanted by particularly good music or art. It sparked his imagination, because there were many ends he could picture, but none were certain. He didn't desire death, of course, since living was far more fun, but he'd always hoped that when he did die, it would be in some elegant, grandiose way. Being dragged off a cliff into the blood black sea below was perfect for that idea he had in his head.

What came after was something he had never concerned himself nearly as much with, though. It was perfectly obvious to him, because no matter the story or theology, his own fate in that respect was fairly certain if there was anything at all. He wakes before Will and peers around curiously, but his lips only pull up into a faint smile. A train is a bit quaint and unexpected in terms of an afterlife, all that said. Because what else could it be? He would accept that just as easily as a vision that comes from the final firings of his neurons. Both may as well be true.

When Will stirs, Hannibal's attention is pulled away from the setting and to the man sitting across from him instead. Hannibal crosses one leg over the other, and they sit in a mirror of a scene that feels almost old by now. With the same cool clarity as always, Hannibal speaks when he knows Will will be awake enough to hear him. ]

Hello, Will.
